Library
To inculcate the spirit of continuous learning among students and enhance knowledge, the campus is equipped with a state-of-the art library. The peaceful and serene atmosphere of the library induces the students to cultivate good reading habits and spend enriching hours in the library undisturbed. Over twenty thousand books, journals, magazines, CD-ROMs and videos from across the world are made available to the students.
The massive library is not just place with a wide collection of books for all ages and groups of students, but also acts as a resource centre for enhancing knowledge. The students are periodically asked to review the books they read, participate in debates and present their views. This process not only inculcates the reading habit in the students but also brings in the value of comprehension of the learning process.
Sports
At Orel state medical university, we understand that sports not only refreshes the mind but also rejuvenates the entire body. Further sports are a great leveler and help to develop the competitive spirit. As part of our initiative to foster all round development of the students, we give impetus to sports and encourage the students to actively engage in various sports activities both indoor and outdoor.
The Orel state medical university is equipped with a multi – purpose indoor stadium, .swimmimg pool. Gym, vast playing field for cricket, football, hockey, skating ,basket ball, tennis courts .We have professional coaches to train the students in their chosen discipline of sports and allocate sufficient time for sports without affecting the academic schedules. We identify students who excel in any particular activity and provide additional training to compete at national and International level. We assist the students in various activities that help in their personal, social and cultural development.
Food Court
We believe that right food not only acts as nourishment to the body, but also stimulate the intellect of the mind. Expert Chefs cook tasty, delicious and nutritious multi-cuisine food as per the schedule in the ultramodern and hygienic kitchen. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian, is prepared with utmost care under the guidance of qualified dieticians. On demand, we also serve specific food prepared as per the dietary needs of the student based on his/her health conditions.

Orel State University believes in comfort & hygiene of students. OrelSU arranges housing facility for all the international students in its dormitories. There are 8 dormitories available on the campus. Students are accommodated in dormitories with the availability of 2 people & 6 people in rooms. These rooms are equipped with beds, desks, chairs, lamps, bookshelves. Shared-kitchen, toilet, shower-room are available in rooms.
University provides full security to students living on campus. 24-hour CCTV coverage, electronic access to hostels, security guards at every required check post and other measures are available for safety & security of the students.

As far as dining is concerned, then living in a totally different place is a big concern for authentic & native food. But in Orel State University, Indian students don’t have to worry about the same. The availability of Indian food in the mess of hostels is an added advantage for Indian students. 1200 USD is charged for food service inclusive of all Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner; as per the students’ wish. Not only this, students can cook food if they wish to, for a change.
STUDENT LIFE AT Orel STATE UNIVERSITY
During the academic year, our students take active part in different types of events, creative competitions and projects, such as: the first-year students’ festival of creativity “Voice of Youth”, in which each faculty or institute presents a program which includes different genres of art: choreography, vocal and instrumental compositions, theatrical performance; KVN (“Club of the Funny and Inventive”), student theatre of variety miniatures, journalism, original genre; festival of KVN teams; “New Year’s marathon”: artistic creativity, costume show, New Year’s kaleidoscope of talents, dancing-parties, celebratory outings in boarding schools of the Orel Republic; and finally, “Student’s spring”, “Republican student’s spring”, “The All-Russian student’s spring” which are three stages of creative competition, among others.
Our students are actively engaged in social and project activity: writing grants, doing projects in different areas, such as: business, innovative and scientific activity, art square, patriotic education, volunteering, student government, youth initiatives, and media technologies.

OrelSU has many activity centres like scientific communities, interest clubs, sports schools, volunteering, charity work, public work, cultural events, etc. Students are always motivated for participation in seminars, youth forums and conferences. University conducts a sports day every year in which many medical students take part. Students are availed with many facilities for playing like Mini-football, a track, a field complex, two sandy courts for beach volleyball, an asphalt court for team sports, Gym, indoor courts for basketball and volleyball and fitness rooms.
As far as extra-curricular activities are concerned, University organizes different types of events, creative competitions and projects for the student’s entertainment and personality development. Theatre performances are also a part of this.
